This 'Flex Room' is the concept which allows us to capture the larger open concept main living area without sacrificing a third sleeping quarters - for when those larger gatherings take place [aka. the kids and their families soon visit, wink].
By making use of the existing storage | work wing in this multifunctional way, we have a space that serves you well, both when its just the two of you as well as when hosting.
- An ideal space to snuggle up to watch a movie, read a book, play music, or get creative with paints or crafts.
- This space also serves up a deep oversized built-in couch | bed with pull-out function, ideal for -
- movie nights allowing everyone to lay out
- a separate 'guest wing,' easily accommodating varying guests with different individual needs - pull out one side for a couple or the entire unit for a large family. A pack-and-play would tuck in the corner or could be set up in the adjoining transitional storage closet.
