Overall Design Approach:
- Create a functional and cozy layout within this new unique space.
- A multi-purpose desk for studying and getting ready to maximize space.
- Easily organized and maintainable closet system.
- Designed with intention as a bedroom but come time for resale, could flex as a bonus room | play room.
- A cozy zone separate from the bed to hang out with friends and watch a movie.
- A designated area for school & study.
- A designated area for makeup and to get ready.
- We have combined the areas for study and make up into the large desk. This references the main level desk, adding a note of continuity as you walk through the home. (Perhaps a nice feature come resale)
- Storage components:
- Created a substantial closet with additional storage within the bed frame for overflow.
- Kates aesthetic is light-hearted yet mature, a palette than can grow with you throughout the years. Continuity from the rest of the house is implemented through the same flooring that brings a natural, major warm element to the room. The neutral, earthy tones blend to create an inviting and appealing environment that is perfect to come home to at the end of the day.
